So I woke up to hearing scratching noises in kitchen this morning. The hamster had escaped. We can hear him under the cupboards or in the wall in between the kitchen and the laundry room. We have left some carrots out, in hopes that he will get hungry and come out.

It must be the cage. Porter's hampster was nicknamed the escape artist. We had the same cage. How many times did our hampsters get out when we were kids, like once? He was finally let out into the wild. I was tired of chewed up carpet and waking up in the middle of the night to find the hampster next to my bed.
